My name is Suus, the creator of Once Upon a Forest.

I’m obsessed with the forest, wildlife, trail cameras, and creative projects. Once Upon a Forest is where all those things come together.

Most people know Once Upon a Forest from the wholesome wildlife videos I share online. But on this website, I’d like to share something a little more personal with you: my physical Forest Diary.

The Forest Diary is a creative way to document my adventures in the forest and the observations I make while reviewing my trail camera footage. Every two months, I create new pages with drawings and field notes.

Through this website, you can subscribe to the Once Upon a Forest Mail Club and receive the pages physically on your doormat, like a sort of newsletter from the forest. It’s also possible to subscribe to the Online Forest Diary, where the pages are delivered digitally to your inbox every two months.
